Tuition and Fees
Smart Tuition serves as the tuition management partner for St. Joseph School. All current school families are re-enrolled for the same payment plan on an annual basis. New families receive an enrollment form in the mail to complete and return to school indicating their choice of payment plan. All SJS families are invited to create an online account for management of tuition processing.
A new tuition payment schedule begins with Smart Tuition in July. This schedule is aligned to our school’s fiscal year, which runs from July 1st through June 30th. SJS parents are asked to make their first payment toward the following year’s tuition and fees by either July 1st or July 15th.
All returning school families are re-enrolled in the Smart Tuition system by the school office in June. Parents who wish to make changes to their family’s current tuition payment plan or payment due dates should contact the school office at email@example.com.

1 payment per year, July
2 payments per year, July and January
4 payments per year, July, October, January and April
10 payments per year, July through April
Tax Credit Scholarships

Illinois enacted the Invest In Kids Scholarship Tax Credit Program in 2017. This program offers a 75 percent income tax credit to individuals and businesses that contribute to qualified Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs). The SGOs then provide scholarships for students whose families meet the income requirements to attend qualified, non-public schools in Illinois.
The Tax Credit Scholarship will cover up to 100% of private school tuition up to a maximum of the average Illinois cost to educate.
