Serving others is a value both encouraged and facilitated at St. Joseph School. Service opportunities within the classroom vary according to grade level and can include:
-
Visiting retirement homes;
-
St. Ignatius, Northfield Township and other food drives;
-
Clothing Drives;
-
A Just Harvest Soup Kitchen – older students assist in serving meals;
-
Operation Support Our Troops – filling stockings and writing notes of thanks for our military serving overseas;
-
Sacred Heart Convent – regular visits as well as working to prepare gifts for retired nuns;
-
Collections for groups such as Rotary Club Book Drive, Aid for Women, and others
These are just some of the many opportunities for service organized for our students.
