Mr. Walker has a B.A. in Education from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN where he achieved a major in Physical Education as a teacher for K-12 aged children and a minor in Coaching. He also has an Associate Degree from Lakewood Community College in Oakdale, MN.
A teacher since 2003, Mr. Walker has most recently been substitute teaching K through 8th in the Palatine and Cary School systems, along with being a Physical Education Instructor for K through 6th in Cary. Prior to teaching at schools he worked for 18 years as the Youth Sports Director and Operations Director at two YMCAs in the Chicagoland area. Mr. Walker is an American Red Cross CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified Instructor.
When he is not teaching, Mr. Walker likes to work out at the YMCA, walk his dog Homer, listen to old time radio shows, lead American Red Cross courses, and play the guitar and sing in church. Mr. Walker and his wife live in Palatine and have two grown children, Jordan and Ashleigh.
