Music & Fine Arts
St. Joseph School Wilmette has an integrated Fine Arts program through which our students learn drawing, painting, sculpting, photography and other graphic arts. They also learn historical context, following the styles of artists from important periods of history. In addition to ongoing exhibits within the school, student artwork is also exhibited on occasion at the Loyola University Museum of Art, the Wilmette Public library and other available venues.
Students also have the option to join Beginning Band or Concert Band (offered in 4th – 8th grades). Our talented and affable music teacher, Mr. Richard Pancratz, inspires and leads our students to develop their musical skills with impressive results. Practices are typically held before school or during lunch/recess. Both bands perform during our Christmas and Spring Programs to the delight of students and parents alike.
