Ms. Briner holds a BA in Psychology from Indiana University and an MA in Learning Disabilities from Northwestern University. In addition to these degrees, she holds an Illinois Elementary Education Certificate as well as an Illinois Special Education Certificate.
She began her career at St. Joseph School in 1999 as a fifth grade teacher and moved to second grade in 2005. She is a creative and dedicated professional committed to educating children.
Prior to joining St. Joseph School, Ms. Briner taught at McKenzie School in Wilmette and gained her pre-clinical experience at both Sherwood School in Highland Park and Frances Xavier Ward School in Chicago. Ms. Briner has served as the Director of Education and a Master Teacher at the Augustana Center in Chicago, a not-for-profit day school for severely handicapped children.
Ms. Briner resides in Winnetka with her two daughters and is actively involved in their schools and activities. She also enjoys running, swimming and playing tennis.
