Mrs. Zavattero has been teaching students that “knowledge is power” since 1996 and joined the St. Joseph faculty in 2009. Originally from Wilmette, she graduated from New Trier High School and then went on to earn her BS in Elementary Education and a MS in Curriculum and Teaching from University of Southern California.
Mrs. Zavattero is no stranger to St. Joseph School having gone here as a student. Her favorite thing about being back in the school is feeling the same warmth and comfort walking the halls as she did as a child. She resides here in Wilmette with her husband, Andy, and four children, Sophia, Jason, Francesca and Drew, who also walk the St. Joseph hallways.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, cooking and rollerblading and is also an active member of St. Joseph Parish.
“I hope my students will become creative and independent thinkers; being non-judgmental and respectful of differences in people.”
