Beyond the Classroom
At St. Joseph School our students benefit from a variety of extracurricular activities and programs designed to help students gain life lessons outside of the classroom. Our many after school programs compliment academic life by giving students the chance to grow cognitively, socially, and emotionally through participating in competitive sports, fine arts and leadership opportunities.

Athletics
Our students compete in the Catholic Youth League, and adhere to all aspects of good sportsmanship. 3rd - 8th graders can participate in Cross Country and Track, and 5th - 8th graders can also play Football, Basketball and Volleyball.

Buddy Program
St. Joseph School is proud of our “Buddy” Program in which younger students are formally paired with older students for a variety of experiences, including accompanying each other to school masses and events and sharing special school projects with one another. This is one of the many strengths of our Preschool-8th grade environment, as older students learn the valuable lesson of mentoring and caring for younger students and working with them on academic skills.

Leadership
Students develop leadership, self-motivation and independence through community programs including Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts and through Student Council as an elected official to represent the voice of student ideas, interests, and concerns.

Music & Fine Arts
Students can explore music and musical instruments by joining beginning band (3rd - 4th) and concert band (5th - 8th). Band performs in two school performances during the Winter and Spring semesters.

Spiritual Development
St. Joseph School is proud to offer its students many opportunities to add to the spiritual life of the whole parish. In addition to themed activities coinciding with the liturgical calendar, students participate in bi-weekly Masses throughout the school year.

Enrichment Programs
St. Joseph School offers a growing enrichment program designed to enhance the educational experience for the students by exposing them to areas of study not typically found during the school day. These activities are sometimes playful, sometimes serious, but always enriching and educational. These after-school activities complement the academic life of a student and help them grow socially, emotionally, mentally and physically.
