Fall Trees
These are examples of our 'Fall Trees' project. After showing how trees grow and different shapes trees could take, together we created our "fall" color scheme, and had to draw trees of different colors shapes and sizes.

Circle Studies
This project was from the beginning of the year, the goal: complete understanding of basic shapes, variations on shapes, and the basics of creating texture with shapes. This handful of students surely went "over and above."
While some kindergarteners struggled with their little hands, some really excelled and produced a wonderful, purely aesthetic work of art.

Houses From Memory
Students closed their eyes and visualized themselves in their front and back yards looking at their house (or a relatives house). They were asked to put in as much detail as they could remember: every door, every window.
Free Draw Landscape
In this assignment students were allowed to draw whatever they wanted as long as they included middle ground and background (foreground optional), and it had to be an outdoor scene (to show their understanding of the term "landscape".)
