Student
Support Services
State and federal
monies are allocated by law for special services for all children,
whether they attend private or public schools. St. Joseph's students
who are Wilmette residents are entitled to the following services
offered by District 39.
- Case-study
evaluations to determine whether any Wilmette student might
have a disability.
- Individual
Service Plans for students who have a learning disability and
need educational accommodations or pullout instruction.
- If eligible,
students may receive speech services at their "home school"
within District 39.
- If eligible,
students may receive social work services at their "home
school" within District 39.
A District
39 special services teacher spends one day per week at St. Joseph
School. We will look to increase her time spent at St. Joseph
School, as well as offering additional services (i.e.: speech),
if the case-load warrants such services.
