Mgsr. Daniel Mayall – Pastor

It is with great joy that we welcome Msgr. Daniel Mayall as our new Pastor of St. Joseph Parish!

Msgr. Mayall has been the Pastor of Holy Name Cathedral since 2002.
 
Previous ministerial roles include:
  • Deacon at Queen of Angels Church
  • Associate Pastor at St. Eugene Parish
  • Associate Pastor at St. Paul of the Cross Parish
  • Resident Priest at Our Lady of Victory Parish
  • Pastor of St. Francis Borgia Parish 1993-2001
  • Pastor of Holy Name Cathedral 2002 -2016
  • Soon to be Pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Wilmette – July of 2016
Msgr. Mayall is no stranger to schools either!
  • Has had 6 elementary school experiences (All parishes above included schools)
  • Faculty Member and Administrator at Archbishop Quigley College Prep Seminary 1978-1990 (taught Speech, English, American History & Religion as well as Dean of Students)
  • St. Frances Xavier Warde School Board of Trustees Member
  • Children at the Crossroads Foundation Board Member
  • Council of Regent for Loyola University
  • St. Patrick High School Board of Trustees Member
Msgr. Mayall holds a B.A. Degree in Communication Arts from Loyola University, an M.Div. in Theology from the University of St. Mary of the Lake, and an M.A. in Speech from Northwestern University.

Msgr. Mayall is no stranger to the radio, from his appearances on WGN and is a remarkably eloquent speaker and homilist.  Msgr Mayall is filled with great energy, is passionate about his faith and Catholic education.  He will is a tremendous asset to our parish/school community!
