St. Joseph School is located across the street from the historic St. Joseph Church and directly next to the Sisters of Christian Charity convent. The school first opened in the early 1930's, although the building was completely renovated in late 1999. The school facility retains its historic beauty and character while providing modern amenities and technology.

The school houses several wings that are home to preschool, elementary, middle school and junior high classes. Additional features include an auditorium; gymnasium; and science laboratory. A new, state of the art Trailblazer Resource Center(TRC), including a computer lab and library with computerized database, is located on the lower level, along with new art, music, and Spanish classrooms.

In addition to the TRC, technology is integrated into all classrooms. Kindergarten through eighth grade all have computers located in the classrooms. Laptops and a wireless environment are in grades 5-8. Also, teachers have access to digital projectors, cameras, and digital scientific data collectors.
The school playground, with a large black top area for basketball and tether ball, and ample playground equipment, are located behind the school.
