PLEASE NOTIFY CAREGIVERS OF THESE PROCEDURES. ANY CAREGIVER OR PARENT WHO FAILS TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED PICK UP AND DROP OFF PRIVILEGES.

Parking lot supervisors will control traffic from the pick up/drop off area and aid students and their families across the pedestrian crosswalk. Please follow their direction and respect their efforts. Children may not leave the safety zone unless accompanied by a parent or guardian - either in a vehicle, or walking across the crosswalk.

Drop Off

The morning drop off is from 8:15 AM until 8:32 AM. 

• When dropping off your child, pull up along the row of orange cones, stay in your car, and allow your child to proceed to the safety zone.
• If your child is unable to exit the vehicle without your assistance, please park your vehicle in the parking lot and walk your child to the safety zone via the designated crosswalk. 
• To exit the parking lot, proceed toward Forest Avenue. Please come to a complete stop, look both ways, and proceed with caution.
• A faculty or staff member will be stationed on the west side of the viaduct between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. to ensure the safe arrival of children on the playground on the east side of the building. Playground supervision is provided between 8:15 a.m. until the bell rings at 8:27 a.m. when the children enter the building and the East door is locked.
• Students are tardy after 8:32 AM.  Late students should go to the south school entrance and report to the office.  Do not encourage your children to hurry or run. Safe entry into the school building is the priority.

Pick Up

Afternoon pick up is from 3:15 PM until 3:30 PM.

• To allow room for buses who wait along the orange cones, please begin the pick-up line at the south end of the safety zone.
• After the buses have departed, pull up along the safety zone as far as possible. Stay in your car. Children must remain in the safety zone area until their vehicles arrive in the pick up line. Children are not to walk south out of the safety zone to get into vehicles. Exit the pick-up line once your child is in your vehicle and has fastened his/her seatbelt.
• If your child is unable to enter the vehicle without your assistance, please park your vehicle in the parking lot and walk your child to the safety zone via the designated crosswalk.
• Parents may opt to park their vehicles and meet their children in the safety zone via the designated crosswalk. No child may use the crosswalk without a parent being with him/her. Parents who meet their child in the safety zone and remain after dismissal are responsible for supervising their children. Please do not put teachers in the difficult position of watching your child while you are there.
• Teachers will remain outside until 3:25 pm; supervising parents will stay until 3:30 p.m. If you have not arrived by 3:30, your child will be taken to the after-school area and you will be charged the applicable after-school fee.

Bad Weather Drop Off

All days on which it is raining or snowing, children will enter the building in the morning through the west door. As always, parents still have the option to park their vehicles and walk their children to the west door.

Once inside the building, the children should proceed to the foyer area supervised by faculty and wait for the 8:30 a.m. line-up bell. At the ring of the bell, teachers will escort students to their classrooms and the west door is locked.
